The lullaby embeds data from disruptive floods happened between 2024 and 2025 in Emilia-Romagna region (IT), live weather data (the cloud scanning from weather satellite data) at the moment of the live performance, and field recordings of flooded places before and after the flood.&nbsp; Human bodies act like turbulences inside the nebulization. Humans are invited to move into the space during the composition, since rain falls regardless. The work aims to be a lullaby co-composition between humans and water, between the turbulences and flows characterizing our time, where after the floods, crickets and pollinators come back .The installation premiered and performed at Mediamatic (Amsterdam, NL) during September 2025 as part of the Aquatope Program. Based on CO2 satellite data, these projections will interact as a particle system of light revealing how our bodies, breaths and liquids are entangled with apparently far-from-home data. The installation breathes the H2O particles on which our bodies relyon to survive. Aiming to reveal the co-dependency of our dreams to the external/extreme droughts happening right now, in this tension between scales, aerial and liquid, molecules and rivers, data and bodies,&nbsp; inhabitants of the space become protagonists of the installation, shaping the space by being composers and being composed. Together they create a third, new landscape, drawn from the movement of bodies in space,from echoes of lost ecosystems, and our continuous exchange of particles with the world. <img width="842" between 1993 and 2023, following a CO2 particle from her birth in oil extraction in Bahrain to a whale’s dead body on Norway’s coast. While floating, we fly over the Po Valley, crossing the dry mud and the mosquitoes’ dreams.The installation runs on a bucket of water 12 liters, as a limited resource.It is the average quantity of water that should have rained daily in a limited area on a spring- -rain season.On the floor, you will find 6 tanks of 20 litres, the average quantity of water used par person to survive 4 days in time of droughts. Data Turbolences investigates the relationship between human beings and environmental data as a matter for research and creation by entangling climate data and its inhabitants. Waving together the individual with the global, allowing us to understand how we are all intrinsically entangled on a molecular scale with the surrounding matter(s). How do we perceive our influence on and in space? The challenge is to further the way we tackle informations,at the crossover of “bits and atoms” (Ishii &amp; oth,1997).The aim is to develop what make climate debate tangible, embodied and embedded (Battisti, Santucci,2020).Data are nebulized and liquefied (Baumann,2005) as the new matter that shapes space. On the ground, you will find Cubes made of recovered wood from a wildfire in Italy (Toscana, 19/07/2022, 195 hectares) with the QR acting as a bridge to the simulacrum that describes and represents the incendiary devastation. In an anti-extractivist logic, we were concerned to develop a project that, rather than consuming resources, would strive to create a dialogue between what is lost and what is possible to create in the process. In the Mediterranean area, 2022 is a record year for fires: while in the last 15 years the average has been 263 for the entire season, those that have broken out in Italy since the beginning of the year have already reached 243. Data from Effis shows that as of 23 July, just over 515,000 hectares (1.27m acres) of land had been burned across EU countries. This is four times the average recorded since 2006, and is nearly twice the previous record seen across this time. The phenomena involves all of Europe, since the goal of carbon offsetting seems even more distant if we consider the years it takes for a tree to grow and reabsorb the substances released into the atmosphere. The installation aims to connect the surroundings with the users through an immersive audiovisual experience. You are listening to a soundscape created by the trees that surround you. A Plantwave device is attached to the leaves through sensors. They pick up the slight electronic variations within the tree.These variations are then graphed as a wave which is translated into pitch messages that trigger a midi instrument. Sit down and enjoy the sonic scape that these trees provide for you.As Mediacoeli, we translated data into matter. The installation is born from the pictures that Hubble has collected from the cosmos for 30 years and REM-phase API data. The performance happens between two parallel layers,between light and the parsec it takes in order to liquefy on the timeless reflections of Salone delle Feste (1500ca d.C.) of Villa Foscarini Rossi. The performer, suspended between two dimensions, becomes a turbulence of cloud points that interfers within the reflections of what, we believe, is the reality above us. The performer brings data-light alive in the entropy that intercurrs between deep space and our human dreams. The sea level is 3 meters above what our ancestors used to call land. MU is where sea level rose, and our landscapes of care disappeared, letting space fishes fly and snow horses swim. In February 2021 , a paper published in Ocean Science suggested that past projections for global sea level rise by 2100 reported by the IPCC were likely conservative, and that sea levels will rise more than previously expected . Historically, Mu is a hypothetical disappeared continent in the Pacific Ocean, described by the Anglo-American James Churchward (1851-1936), on the basis of a translation, from the 19th century by the Flemish abbot Charles Etienne Brasseur de Bourbourg from a Mayan manuscript. MŪ (μ) 2168 is an imaginary not-so-far future, where our present landscapes will become the next theatre for MŪ's lost legend. The imaginary exploration of MU in the year 2168 takes place between an analog and a virtual dichotomy. Central to this exploration is the concept of attunement, where the wearer aligns iteratively with the dynamic rhythms of the soil, fostering an embodied awareness of its health and vitality. By translating environmental data into tactile and sonic stimuli, it amplifies the wearer’s awareness, creating a symbiotic relationship with the earth’s skin: soil as a living, breathing entity. The aim is to foster a reimagined engagement with the environment through sensorial stimuli that reconnect humans with soil’s intrinsic value. This holistic approach frames soil as “S.O.I.L.—Sensing Outer Identities Landscape,” emphasizing its central role in ecological and sensory regeneration. The wearable technology concept is aligned with the BIO INTELLIGENT DATA scenario, which envisions a future where the boundary between the physical and digital worlds is blurred. The project connects human proprioception with environmental data, specifically soil health, by translating this data into haptic feedback and sensory stimuli. This creates a new language that allows humans to experience the flow of data from the earth directly through their bodies. In a world where soil biodiversity is under threat, the wearable amplifies the connection between humans and the environment by transforming soil data into sound and vibration, giving voice to the often-overlooked soil microbiome. This hybrid interaction fosters a deeper understanding of living data, making the human body a sensor that perceives the hidden patterns and needs of the earth, thereby creating a symbiotic relationship between humans, non-humans, and the environment. The soundscape you are experiencing is a collection of field recordings of European landscapes and ecosystems that have been lost in the last 10 years due to climate change. The tableaux vivants (M. S. Merian 1647-1717), show how pollinators see flowers. The invisible spectrum that escapes our perception and is the fundamental bond of ecosystem’s biodiversity. De Rerum Invisibilia is an amplification of the symbiotic bond that binds us to ecosystems, invisible but inextricable to our survival.
